March 31, marks the DVD release of the heavily promoted film Seven Pounds. The film was anticipated as the Christmas season blockbuster, it was previewed to film-going audiences in theaters for several months leading up to the December 21st release. The trailer was drowned in self-prasie and sentimentalized jump cuts, all held under the mysetery of the protaganist Ben Thomas (Will Smith) and his “secret.” Thomas conspires to change the lives of seven people in a redemption mission, which reason is unclear in the two-minute trailer and the bounty of the subsequent film.
